The Few and Cursed is a creator-owned comic book series about people trying to survive a wicked world where most of the water was gone overnight in a mysterious apocalyptic event in 1840.
The Redhead is a hardened survivor that was born in this reality and now fights to protect the innocent. As the land fell into darkness a group of men and women decided to take a stand and fight back, they are known as Curse Chasers.

Alright, alright, alright!
One more Stretch Goal unlocked and we're well on our way towards the next one which is a personal favorite, folks \o/
It's always a treat finding new artists and seeing their vision of Red brought to life. I can't wait to reach $40K in pledges and unlock the Gallery of Guest Artists to be added to the book, I already have a few artists in mind I wanna reach out to...

The Little Mermaid & The Pirate Queen #1 - Sapphic Adventure
Kat and I go waaaayyyyy back, she's a prolific and awesome comic book professional and more often than not we end up overlapping Kickstarter campaigns allowing us to support each other creatively. Her campaigns are always on point, feature gorgeous art and even better storytelling. Make sure you check this one out quickly as there are less than 55hrs left ;)
But with nearly 1500 backers you know you are in for a treat! From her own page: "Once upon a time there was a mermaid looking for adventure, Princess Aria of Atlantis. She thought she found her happily ever after with Prince Elliott of Portsmith, but quickly came to realize that becoming human would not fill the void in her life. Aria doesn't feel like she belongs. She wants more than just to be a mermaid or human. And she's beginning to worry that nothing will ever get rid of the restlessness that has always plagued her. But everything changes when she meets Pirate Queen Mikayla, a beautiful captain who can shift between human AND mermaid forms. Brenton's campaign has actually finished up already but it is still open for Late Pledges - and you'll be supporting a project already fully financed! Brenton has been a long-time supporter of The Few and Cursed and is an incredible creator himself having been nominated for the Ringo Awards thrice in the past for his indie series Snow White Zombie Apocalypse.

Howdy partners!
I know I just updated you all yesterday but I really didn't want to keep this page for myself... this is page 5 of The Few and Cursed #10 and goes to show the craftsmanship Fabiano, Tiago and myself put in every single page.
I really couldn't be more excited about putting the Redhead together with Alistair Fairweather and see what comes out of it. These are two very skilled gunslingers and Curse Chasers and you just know neither would ever back down from an argumento...
As the art team wrap up production on The Few and Cursed #10 and I work on the script for the next issue it's just awesome knowing we can all work with your support.
Once again thanks so much for pledging and making this campaign the success it's been so far. If you'd like to check out Alistair's first official appearance make sure to grab Chronicles of The Few and Cursed and then catch him as well on a more protagonist role in TFAC: Shadow Nation.

This is a last minute project recommendation featuring three absolutely legendary comic book characters: Shi, Lady Death & Usagi Yojimbo! Their Kickstarter campaign ends in about 7hrs and of course they are funded and chasing amazing Stretch Goals with over 1200 backers!

Howdy folks!
We're officially through our first week on Kickstarter with TFAC#11 and I couldn't have asked for a better week! Thanks so much to everyone that pledged so far, you made this campaign an incredible success :D
This is the fastest we ever got to 1000+ backers and on top of that we also unlocked everything planned in our first wave of Stretch Goals! Here are the last SGs we completely crushed:
Don't think for a second we're done though! This is just the first wave of Stretch Goals and there is still a lot planned.
Some of my favorite items to unlock are in our Phase 2 including the sought after Ashcan edition in physical format that's added to EVERY pledge going out in the mail. Consider this the official announcement of our Phase 2 of Stretch Goals!

Continuing with our series of recommendations we've got an exciting project that is fully funded and ending in less than 24hrs! There is enough time though to unlock another Stretch Goal so if this looks like your cup of tea use the link above and check it out.
Another project fully funded that now looks to aim much further. If you are a fan of classic science fiction space action movies and big monster hunter adventures than this is right in your wheelhouse. The artwork alone on this one looks stunning!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend because the Redhead is sure is :D
With less than a week on Kickstarter we're pretty much through the ENTIRE phase 1 of Stretch Goals, this is the fastest we ever unlocked this much extra content and made it to 1000 backers.
All thanks to your incredible support, I really cannot thank you all enough!
Here are three more Stretch Goals unlocked:
All items added to EVERY single physical pledge going out the mail. It doesn't matter if you picked up the regular cover or one of the variants or the full collection, everyone will now get:
A double-sided bookmark printed in gloss glossy card stock
A beautiful large-size sticker
One more collectible card to our ever growing collection (my personal favorite!)
And as soon as we make it to $30K, and we're pretty darn close, a second collectible card will be added to every package featuring Carol Costa as Red :D

I, Dragon Trilogy - Medieval Fantasy Graphic Novels
Past backers know I have a habit of doing these Spotlights, I think it's a great to promote the community spirit that's so present on Kickstarter. I love recommending projects to TFAC fans and readers from fellow creators and them in turn do the same.
First up we have an incredibly gorgeous project by Alien Books and my good friend Matias Timarchi. He is a terrific editor and all around comics talent and he is got this stunning project running that funded in 30min and is ending in three days. The art alone is worth it but the book also happens to be a classic.
From their own page: "In the year 1280, the inhabitants of the Rosentall Castle found themselves surrounded by a massive army. Led by the bastard descendant of a lost royal line who has returned to stake her claim to the throne, she sets out to begin a long and bloody war for power. Meanwhile, inside the castle, a strange woman with a traveling carnival gives birth to her first child.
How do all of these stories interconnect? Who will fate smile upon and who will end up dead in the mud? And how does a fierce, mysterious dragon who lives in a volcano play into all of this?!"
Horus in Hell #1-3: A Demented Saturday Morning Cartoon
Another project fully funded and finishing up in the next three days, this one looks like a blast, just really fun! It's been unlocking Stretch Goals left and right so you know you'll get a lot for your buck.
From their own page: "Once upon a time, there lived a pink rabbit named Horus who roamed the fiery depths of hell and he really liked to kill things. Perhaps a little too much... one crips, autumn day, while engaging in battle with angelic forces from heaven a gigantic hand from above made a very dramatic entrance and snatched him from his victory over the angels... by a very drunk magician. And that's just the beginning..."
Butterfly Tears Special Edition: Chinese Folklore Anthology
Last but not least we got another project that's fully funded and about to go into their last week by a very talented and good friend of mine: Fang Fang. If you are into classic romance and manga then this project is certainly up to you!
From her own page: "This is a 125+page fantasy manga-style comic anthology featuring four standalone love stories inspired by Chinese folklore akin to Shakespearean tragedy and romance stories. The heartbreaking and enduring legend of The Butterfly Lovers, China's own Romeo and Juliet, meets the world of fantasy."

Howdy fellas!
As I write this update we're getting to 800 backers in less than 24hrs on Kickstarter! Our previous record had been 757 backers on the first day...
That is absolutely tremendous and I really have to thank each and every one of you! What an incredible way to start a new Few and Cursed campaign, folks.

Since our launch yesterday not only we funded in 74 minutes (our record!) but we also blasted through FOUR STRETCH GOALS with number five a few hundred dollars away! We're well on our way to complete Phase 1 of Stretch Goals within the first week or two around here, that's how awesome this campaign has been and thanks to all that pledged :D
Here's what's been unlocked already and what's next for us. Please keep sharing the word about The Few and Cursed, the success of the series depends on new readers and nothing better than word of mouth.
Believe me when I say we are just getting started! I'm confident we will get to unlock a lot more exciting content and I do have plans beyond Phase 1 ;)
